Laurentians's ecovillage

We are a group of people carrying the goal to create a viable community in the Laurentians, founded on the ecovillage and permaculture concept.

The accomplishment of this project effects by the implantation of “ Terravie- Community land trust” which aims the perpetual land protection and its speculation withdrawal.
TerraVie leases part of the land( 25%) to two non-profit co-operatives (dwelling and labour) whom manage the whole ecovillage activities. The co-operatives hold areas rights( buildings)
They are under the obligation to assure the ecological integrity in all activities and construction and the dwelling economical accessibility . They must act in respect of the fondemental principles of the ecological chart of Teravie at all times.

The creation of an ecovillage aims to become an example of a viable community integrating healthy dwelling, work, pleasure and education in an environment of solidarity, sharing and respect. The construction of all buildings use methods and materials in respect of the environment and of its residents.
It’s a contribution to an indivudual and collective greater welfare in thinking globally to act locally.

Considering that the human being is an integrative part of the environment, our intention is to offer options of life founded on ecological awareness and the respect of the wildlife and flora. The ecovillage wishes to be a model and a privileged place to promote conservation and preservation of threatened species.

Any kind of human participation, grants, donations or legacy will be greatly appreciated and will be helping us to go forward in the accomplishment of this innovative project.

We call upon the governments, private and artistic fields, the foundations and organisms for financial and technical support as well as for human resources
